Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant

Our client Stennett & Stennett is a reputable Lexcel accredited law firm and they pride themselves in providing high outstanding Client Care and quality Legal Services to their Clients whilst offering employees an enjoyable and supportive working environment.

They are looking to recruit a motivated and driven Conveyancing Assistant to provide legal support dealing with all Conveyancing matters. The role will suit someone who has ideally 2 Years+ experience and who may be looking to become qualified.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited:

* Attending to clients, updating them on their matters by post, email, and telephone.

* Preparing estimates of costs using case management, updating case management system to generate all

* correspondence involved in a transaction.

* Carrying out Anti Money-Laundering (AML) checks on potential clients.

* Preparing legal documentation used in conveyancing matters including completion statements, leasehold management packs and Land Registry documentation.

* Preparing contract documentation for a sale transaction.

* Liaising with lenders and finalising sale details.

* Organising files for exchange and completion.

* Using internet banking for checking client accounts; for completions; and dealing with post exchange (Exchange Memorandum) and post completion work (Service of Notices, Deeds of Covenants, Licences, stamp duty preparation and submission to file closures).

* Organising files for exchange and completion.

* Post completion work, including making applications to the Land Registry.

* Any other reasonable task that may be required as and when needed.

The Key Skills and Qualities:

* Ideally 2 Year’s + Experience in Conveyancing work with knowledge of the requirements of CQS and LEXCEL is essential with work processed to these standards and able to follow internal quality standards.

* Excellent Client care and communication skills.

* Strong organisation with diligence to detail.

* Ability to manage a caseload independently, supervised and as part of a team.

* IT proficiency and experience in using Case Management Software an advantage to record all chargeable and non-chargeable time.

* Willingness to develop and expand skills and knowledge, undertaking further training as required.

Requirements:

* Ideally live near work location Southgate, North London

* Job type: Permanent, Monday to Friday

* Salary Range: DOE

* Statutory paid holiday plus 1 day for each completed Year of Service up to a max of 5 days.

* Remote working post completion of probation period and subject to demands of the firm
