Job Title: General Litigator

Location: London NW1

Company Overview:
I am working with a leading legal firm with a diverse practice, including criminal legal aid contracts. Operating across five offices with a current turnover of £5.5 million, we provide comprehensive legal services. Our main office and administrative hub are located in Camden.

Position Summary: They are seeking a skilled and dynamic General Litigator to join their legal team. The successful candidate will have a broad range of litigation experience and the ability to handle various cases across different practice areas, contributing to the overall success and growth of the firm.


Case Management:

Handle a diverse caseload encompassing civil and criminal litigation matters.

Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.

Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.

Client Representation:

Provide high-quality legal representation to clients in court proceedings.

Advise clients on legal matters, potential outcomes, and strategies.

Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness.

Negotiation and Dispute Resolution:

Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients.

Explore alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation or arbitration.

Work towards achieving the best possible outcomes for clients.

Court Appearances:

Represent clients in various courts, including magistrate courts, county courts, and high courts.

Prepare and present legal arguments in court hearings and trials.

Attend case management conferences and pre-trial hearings.

Legal Research and Analysis:

Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting litigation.

Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments.

Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and insights.



Qualified solicitor with a strong background in general litigation.

Proven experience handling a diverse caseload.

Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Strong advocacy skills and experience representing clients in court.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.



This is a full-time position based in our NW1 office in London.
